Lamentations, is one of the 5 scrolls in the bible.
It is a sad description of the destruction of the first Temple, by the Babylonians at 586 B.C.E on the nine of the Jewish month of Av.

This hand-made paper cutting, describes the destruction of Jerusalem,
with many motifs from the scroll. (the fire, the broken walls, the tears of the man, the star of David, the Talit like head cover).
The head line is cut as "Jerusalem fonts" calligraphy and says in Hebrew:
 
"Turn us unto Thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned, 
Renew our days as of old."

May come as a single piece or as a part of the entire set.
The work is a 3 layer paper cutting of quill like paper on rice paper on a another quill like paper.

כותרת העבודה מתארת באותיות ירושלמיות את המשפט:
 
"השיבנו , ד' אליך ונשובה, חדש ימינו כקדם"
